SO, here are 7 random facts about myself that you might not know…
#1 – I’m an early riser but not a morning person. I tend to wake up early but I wouldn’t consider myself one of those super happy morning people that can pop out of bed and get started immediately. I like a leisurely morning so I wake up at 6:00 and take my time eating breakfast, watching the Today Show, showering & getting ready. I don’t actually start working until around 8:30.
#2 – I’ve been dying my hair blonde since I was in high school, my roots are actually pretty dark. I was blonde when I was younger and it just kind of became my identity so once it started darkening I started coloring it and pretty much have been ever since. I’m surprised its still really healthy, you’d think it would be fried by now 🙂
#3 – I used to be a dancer. I started when I was 4 and used to dance 5-7 days a week, teach dance and I helped start the dance team at UMass Dartmouth. It was MY LIFE! I haven’t danced now in quite a few years and I definitely miss it, it will always be a part of me. Loving that “So You Think You Can Dance” is back on now! It inspires me to start dancing around the house again.
#4 – I refused to wear shorts up until a few years ago. I’ve always had rather large legs from dancing and ski racing and I was always self conscious about showing them. Then I decided to say screw it because it is freaking hot in the summer and whatever, muscles can be sexy too.
#5 – We always had pet ducks growing up. My brother and I would get to name them. Some of the more memorable names were Murphy Brown, Michael Bolton and PIB (pain in the butt). We would get them as chicks in the spring, raise them in the pond for the summer and then let them go on the Connecticut river every fall. We figured it would be better to give them a fighting chance than to pass them off to some farm where they would be eaten.
#6 – I gained 25 pounds in college. Forget the freshmen 15, I put on a lot more than that! Looking back at photos I can hardly recognize myself. I guess that’s what little sleep, drinking and easy mac will do to you!
#7 – I DON’T have a favorite band, food or color. I always dread it when people ask me that question because I honestly don’t have an answer. My favorite music changes by the week, I don’t have any singer or band that has always been a favorite. I can’t pick a favorite food because there are way too many, cheese, chocolate, lobster, pasta, see?? too hard! And colors?? What are we talking about here? Cars? because then it would be white. Shirts? Probably blue. Pillows? Red or yellow. Shoes? Definitely black. Totally depends on my mood and what you’re referring to. I often wonder if people are really honest when they do have a favorite thing or if they’ve just gotten so used to giving that answer that they just answer on autopilot.
