Happy Wednesday!  Its been a little while since I’ve participated in the What I Ate Wednesday party so I’m happy to join back in!  I can’t wait to see what everyone is dishing up in the New Year!

For breakfast today I had half a grapefruit and a few blackberries along with a piece of toast spread with avocado and 2 over easy eggs. It was the perfect filling breakfast!

For lunch I had another piece of toast with avocado and manchego cheese along with a bowl of Potato Leek & Roasted Cauliflower Soup.  This soup had some serious yums.  The recipe coming soon, stay tuned, it’s a keeper!!

For an afternoon snack I had a few bites of cottage cheese.

For dinner we had a salad, some garlic spinach mashed potatoes and crab cakes.  Overall, a yummy day of eats!  Head on over to Peas & Crayons for some more delicious ideas.

I’m loving my new Wellies!  Like Oto’s photo bomb?  These BOOTS are the bomb.  They are badass boots that tell the cold & water to get outta town.  You aren’t getting anywhere near these feet they say! You go ahead and be all nasty outside, we’re gonna keep her feet all dry and toasty in here!  Speaking of….holy crap is it cold out there!

You have to, they’re the best! I just realized that I’ve never posted my crab cake recipe on the blog when its probably the thing I remake most, I’ll get working on it and post soon! 🙂

  3. Arrr, I love your breakfast! It simply ALL list of my favourite things for a breakfast 😉
Girl, excellent boots! Now behind a window at us it is snowing and a rain together so I prefer everything that doesn’t get wet and remains warm.

  4. I love love your boots. I want a pair too. 🙂 Great breakfast

  5. Wow your breakfast looks like perfection!! And those boots are fabulous! Happy Wednesday!

I ordered those same boots and liners for winter this year (glossy violet + the fluffy white liners)! So far, I am loving them, although I do find that my toes still get cold. It has been brutal outside! Also, like you I’m eating a lot of avocado toast these days. So easy and satisfying!

oooh, purple, fun! I just got them a few days ago and haven’t really worn them longer than quick poop walks with Oto so I haven’t given them the true cold test yet, we’ll see how they perform, I guess maybe another pair of socks would help? Another thing is they aren’t great for running which is what Oto has wanted to do in this weather the SECOND he’s done with his business 🙂

OH my gosh those boots are adorable! Having the right shoes and clothes (and cute too) makes the winter that much better 🙂

Your meals look so simple yet delicious. I love the boots and have wanted a pair of ridiculously bright ones for a long time. I have no reason to have them really though… here in Southern California.

    • Mai-Lis says:

I know, I love the bright ones too! I have a pair of bright yellow ones with white polka dots that I got for my wedding in case it rained 🙂 Well, you guys get rain sometimes, like once every few months right? Sounds like you need rain boots!!
